Reclinata Palm Trees

Reclinata palms, scientifically known as Phoenix reclinata, are notable for their striking appearance and adaptability to various climates. These palms are characterized by multiple slender trunks that cluster together, often forming a dense grove. They can reach heights of 20 to 40 feet (6 to 12 meters) and feature gracefully arching, pinnate leaves that can grow up to 10 feet (3 meters) long. The leaflets are typically dark green and arranged in a feather-like pattern along the leaf stems. Reclinata palms produce small, yellow flowers in dense clusters, which develop into small, oval-shaped fruits that ripen to a reddish-brown color. Native to southern Africa, they are well-suited to both tropical and subtropical environments and are commonly used in landscaping to create a tropical ambiance. Their ability to tolerate drought and moderate salt makes them ideal for coastal regions as well.

Cold Hardiness:

Reclinata Palm Trees are reasonably cold hardy down to approximately 20° F. USDA plant hardiness zone 9 to 11.
