Chinese Fan Palm Trees

Chinese Fan palms, scientifically named Livistona chinensis, are notable for their elegant fan-shaped leaves and tropical appearance. Originating from East Asia, these palms typically reach heights of 30 feet (9 meters) with a slender trunk that is light to dark grey in color and adorned with distinctive leaf scars. The leaves, spanning up to 6.5 feet (2 meters) in diameter, are deeply divided into numerous segments that radiate from a central point, giving them a unique fan-like structure. Chinese Fan palms produce small, creamy-yellow flowers held in large clusters, which give way to small, round fruits that ripen to a dark blue-black color.
